ASAPack A/S collaborates with Zerust AB, a Swedish company that specializes in producing corrosion protection that effectively protects metal components and electrical equipment from the degrading effects of oxidation.

Zerust technology is safe for both you and the environment. Zerust’s corrosion protection program is based on a technology that is developed to be safe for both the user and the environment. The unique VCI material, which stands for Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor, that we use in our products releases corrosion-inhibiting particles that protect the metal surface.
This patented composition, which has no odor or appearance, evaporates from the metal surface again as soon as the packaging is opened. Zerust products meet international health and safety standards, are recyclable and are approved for disposal as regular packaging. Help choosing the right corrosion protection
To ensure the optimal solution for your products, we can offer to test the corrosion protection under extreme conditions. The tests can be carried out in climate chambers where we simulate temperature and humidity, among other things. We also carry out test deliveries, which we equip with a data logger that records the actual climate conditions throughout transportation.
How the VCI method works
Zerust’s corrosion protection program is based on a patented VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) technology. This involves the packaging releasing an invisible and odorless vapor that leaves an anti-corrosion molecular layer on all unprotected metal surfaces. This protective layer prevents the electrochemical corrosion process. When the packaging is reopened, the protective layer evaporates quickly so that the clean and dry items can be used immediately – without cleaning or further processing. Zerust VCI products are tested and approved by the world’s leading wind turbine and car manufacturers, among others.
